Amazing Age Adult Day Stay provides each care recipient nutritional counseling, a balanced lunch and snacks throughout the day.

Exercise

Few factors contribute as much to successful aging as having a physically active lifestyle. At Amazing Age Adult Day Stay our staff ensures that each care recipient maintains physical engagement at levels that are best suited and beneficial to each individual's needs and interests.

Memory Health

Just as the body needs physical exercise to keep fit, Amazing Age Adult Day recognizes the brain needs mental exercise to stay active and alive. At Amazing Age Adult Day Stay we are always supporting cognitive skills at levels that are productive and pertinent to each care recipient's level. These activities help to keep our care recipient's minds sharp and alert.

Hydrotherapy/Walk-In Tub*

Amazing Age Adult Day Stay uses a walk-in tub equipped with whirlpool massage system offering our clients the experience and benefits of hydrotherapy. This system is perfect for bathing our care recipients while providing privacy and dignity.

Arts and Crafts

A wide variety of medium and materials will be available based on the interest of the care recipients. Offering experiences that they once or are currently involved with or find an interest in learning about, such as painting, drawing, ceramics, knitting, crochet, sewing, woodworking, and various crafts.

Games and Puzzles

An interesting selection of games such as cards, board games, Wii, table tennis, an indoor putting green, crossword and word search puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, sudoko, to name a few will always be out and available. This stimulating, small group, time is perfect for having fun while socializing and interacting with new friends.

Music Library/Stereo Sound System

Music increases energy, is a mood changer and a spirit lifter. This can profoundly enhance interest levels, reduce tension, promote relaxation and spark social interaction. Through music people experience a happier outlook on life and higher self-esteem.

Amazing Age Adult Day Stay will stimulate each care recipient with music throughout the day through our surround sound system. In addition, care recipients may listen to any music of their choice from our extensive music library.

Video Library/Television

We will provide a wide selection of video genre that are age reflective and meet the interest of our care recipients helping them re-connect with memories, reliving social interactions of going to the theatre, being exposed to new information and current events.

Library

Regular reading, whether one is being read to, reading with, or reading independently, can easily awaken a person’s social and civic sense. Research shows that reading can transform lives of individuals no matter social or behavioral circumstances. While correlating with almost every measurement of positive personal and social behavior reading books can change lives for the better.

Amazing Age Adult Day Stay will provide its care recipients with a plethora of reading material including but not limited to senior magazines, books of all genre, and newspapers. All reading material will be available for the clients at any time and upon request a care recipient can request that material be read to them. Part of our daily activities will be reading from current event articles and “book club” stories.

Listening Library/Books on tape

As eyesight often diminishes or the stamina to read a book declines, this once-loved activity becomes frustrating and is no longer enjoyable. By offering the opportunity for care recipients to listen to literature or news articles they can be re-engaged into the world of literary works and current events.

Amazing Age Adult Day Stay brings experts from the community into our center for our care recipient’s enjoyment and engagement.
